ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006

For five days from December 4th through 8th, ITU TELECOM WORLD 2006 (hereafter TELECOM06) will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The Hitachi Group will take part in TELECOM06 under the theme of "Hitachi Innovates the Digital World- Gearing toward the realization of a reliable, safe, and convenient ubiquitous information society."

At TELECOM06, we will introduce our advanced technologies, products, services and know-how through Hitachi's broad range of latest communications network devices, information infrastructure devices, and digital appliances. In addition, we will present a vertical integrating force that can construct and provide the most optimized solution in its entirety by meeting the demands of today's technologies.

Based on the theme for its exhibit, the Hitachi Group will showcase leading-edge solutions for realizing a reliable, safe, and convenient ubiquitous information society. It will also present the products that underpin these solutions in four categories: the Home, Business, Community and Infrastructure.

Hitachi also will participate in an exhibit at the GPON Pavilion, which is also sponsored by the ITU. This exhibit will demonstrate the interconnect ability of various companies' GPON systems for the general public. Ten GPON vendors, including Hitachi, are scheduled to participate in this event.
