August 2007 HCR&D provides middleware to Hitachi BD-CAM "Wooo"

The advanced recording middleware for
BD(Blu-ray disc)/HDD has been accomplished
by the cooperation of UBPL of HCR&D and
Digital Media Division of Hitachi Consumer
Electronics Laboratory.HCR&D's contribution
is the specialized UDF filesystem for
1920x1080 full HD video recording on
BD-R/BD-RE/HDD that includes the scheduling
of real-time audio and video recording on BD/HDD, defect management and etc.

The Middleware has been employed to the world first BD/HDD camcorder supporting BD: Hitachi Wooo BD-CAM DZ-BD7H/DZ-BD7O, which has been shipped to the market in August 2007.
