| Jun 16, 2005, the Annual Convention 2005 of Tsinghua University-Industry Collaboration Committee (UICC) was held on the 2nd floor of the main building of Tsinghua. After Chancellor Kang Kejun explained Tsinghua's philosophy and objectives for university-industry cooperation, senior leaders in charge of R&D or university relations from Intel, P&G, Sony, Toshiba, Hitachi, GM, HP, Microsoft and other famous businesses gave topical speeches to state their respective viewpoints and progress for university cooperation. About 60 personages from 21 foreign funded businesses were present. President Shoichi Masui gave a speech with the topic of Long-term Partnership: Joint Lab on Cutting-edge Technologies on the convention, explaining Hitachi's R&D progress in China and cooperation with Tsinghua. |
