The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is a large open international community of network designers, operators, vendors, and researchers concerned with the evolution of the Internet architecture and the smooth operation of the Internet. IETF meetings are held three times a year. Two of the meetings are held in North America. The other one is held in other continents.
The 63rd IETF meeting was held in Paris, France from July 31st to August 5th, 2005. From Hitachi (China) R&D Corporation, four participants joined the conference. Participants from China also included researchers from CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering), Tsinghua Univ., CAS (Chinese Academy of Science), Huawei, China Telecom, China Mobile, Nokia (China), Cisco (China), Alcatel Shanghai Bell, and other four universities (BUAA, NJTU, NUDT and SDPC). Total participants for IETF are around 1500.
This time researchers from Hitachi (China) R&D joined several working groups related to Mobile IPv4 and IPv6, MOBOPTS, SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) and SIP next generation.
