"Though we cannot live one hundred years, we should be concerned about one thousand years hence." It consists of the two lines that appear at the beginning of the 15th poem in a collection of 19 ancient poems (2~3 A.D) from Chinese Later Hang Dynasty. The calligraphy was made by Mr. Namihei Odaira, the founder of Hitachi.
