个人履历
1972年在日本东京大学完成理化学专业博士课程,同年进入日立制作所中央研究所,1994年任主管研究长,2000年任首席科学家,2003年授予Fellow称号,2015年起担任现职。
在中央研究所期间,致力于推进大气压电离质谱分析仪(APIMS)、电场离子化、矩阵SIMS、LC/MS(液相色谱质谱联用仪)等研究,为生物材料电离新技术的发展做出了贡献。特别是矩阵SIMS率先推动了基质辅助电离,并在后来的MALDI-TOF MS中得到应用。从1982年起推动领先世界的荧光DNA测序仪开发工作,推进了日本首例荧光式DNA测序仪的开发和商用。随后,开发了一种高通量的毛细管凝胶阵列DNA测序仪,使人类基因组计划得以早日完成。对科技的重大贡献使其在《科学》的基因组特刊中被称为“幕后英雄”,并被《商业周刊》誉为“亚洲之星”。其主导研发的仪器已作为医疗生物界的基本设备,在世界范围内有了20年以上的广泛使用。
神原博士还进行了基因图谱分析法、基因变异测量技术、以SNPs为主的DNA变异分析方法、和使用磁珠的探针阵列技术等的开发工作。自2006年起,他作为日本文部科学省特定领域研究项目的代表,在单细胞分析技术方面进行了开创性的研究,并持续主持该领域的众多国际会议。
2015年从日立退休后,神原博士出任了公司名誉Fellow,并继续推进积极的技术理念探索。因为认识到生物组织的位置特性分析在组织机能分析中的重要作用,神原博士开创性地推进了生物显微切片采集设备的开发和应用,并力求使用新型工具打造出类似于谷歌地球生命版的生物信息系统。
神原博士在论文、专利领域成果众多(原创论文127篇、科学文章等54篇、专利申请300余项、专利授权100余项)。
自2002年起持续主持”Int Forum on Post Genome Technology”, 自2006年起持续主持”Int. Workshop on Approaches to Single Cell Analysis”,自2014年起持续主持”Africa Int. Biotechnology & Biomedical Conf.”等众多的国际学术会议。
